History
Sibuyan Express is one of the pioneers in the money remittance business in the province of Romblon. With its eventual success, it extended its line of business to freight forwarding service. This year, Sibuyan Express is on its 9th year of operation in the forwarding industry and 10th year in money remittance. On those years, Sibuyan Express is able to offer competitive pricing that enable to undercut competing services.
Located at the heat of Quiapo, Manila, MagCaSaFe was first established in 2005 under the name of Mrs. Lina Caballero-Regala. During that time, the enterprise operates on a limited capacity as money transfer service provider only. Customers were mostly residents of Cajidiocan, Romblon who were students, employees and some businessmen. The main office was initially set up on the 4th floor of their rented apartment in 460 Z.P de Guzman St., Quiapo, Manila. The enterprise was so successful and grew steadily because of the affordable and reliable service provided to the customers. Soon, they accommodated customers from other towns of Romblon. The trade name Sibuyan Express Money Transfer was born and later registered the name of Mr. Eufemio Rance-Regala. He then infused some more capital and applied technical knowhow to boost their business.
Seeing another opportunity, they decided to expand the scope of their service. Sibuyan Express Forwarding was officialy set up in 2006. Aside from money transfer, they formally engaged in forwarding service. Soon, the forwarding service became a big hit and contributed greatly to the company's income. To accommodate the demands, Sibuyan Express bought 3 trucks to begin with and on June 2008, they transferred to the new commercial site - a 1,000sq.m commercial area at 434 Z.P de Guzman St., Quiapo, Manila.
As the business continues to grow, so does the company's profit. Eventually, through BDO and ABS-CBN Bayan Foundation, on December 2010, Sibuyan Express Forwarding moved to their newly acquired property located just beside their previous rented lot. It is a 357-sq.m commecial lot with existing 15-room apartment building at 442 Z.P de Guzman St., Quiapo, Manila.
Presently, Sibuyan Express Forwarding has now five(5) 6-wheeler forward trucks, one(1) 10-wheeler truck and 2 pick-up trucks with 7 branches that operate daily from 8am-8pm (Manila) / 8am-5pm (Romblon-Romblon/Sibuyan) to better cater customers' needs.
